Couples should contact the pastor as soon as they decide to marry and before any other arrangements are made. We, at Our Lady of the Pines and St. Theodore's Churches are happy to assist you in your preparations for the Sacrament of Matrimony.

The Dioceses of Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota have a common Marriage Preparation Policy which requires a minimum of six months preparation prior to the date of marriage (most couples prepare for 6-12 months.)

Preparation includes:
  (a) completion of a Pre-Nuptial Questionnaire determining the “Freedom to Marry”
  (b) use of a Pre-Marriage Instrument and discussion of the same
  (c) participation in a “Marriage Preparation Retreat Weekend” 
  (d) liturgy preparation
